I know, I know! We're on the brink of Fall but you guys know how much I loveeeeee Summer so before you whip out the Fall layers why not prolong the heat with a DIY sure to give you all the tropical vibes of a sizzling summer day in the Caribbean!
With just a few supplies and as little as 10-15 mins, you can make these modern Carmen Miranda - inspired sunnies. Yes!!! In 1/4 of an hr you'll be well on your way to being the lady in the tutti frutti sunnies.
Wear these tutti frutti shades on your next vacay or break the darn rules and wear them during the cooler seasons. They'll definitely be a hit next Spring/Summer too ;)
Decide how you want to place your fruit cabochons on your sunglasses and begin hot glueing the pieces to your frame. I liked mine coming off the top of the frames for a more 3D effect.
A tiny dot of glue on the frame of the sunnies should do the trick. Hot glue dries quickly so ensure you're comfortable with the angle of your fruit pieces first before adhering.
The fames should be symmetrical so ensure you have double the amount of the same fruit pieces in your lot and place them at mirror angles of each other on their respective side of the sunglasses.
That's it, no more steps! Take your Carmen-Miranda sunnies out for a Chica Chica Boom Chic. Now wasn't that easy as pie?!
