NYC came alive this weekend with soaring high temperatures and I couldn't resist being outside with all the other folks soaking up the glorious Spring sunshine. I ditched my Saturday chores and ventured to Brooklyn for an afternoon stroll. I stopped to smell the deli flowers along the way (NYC style), ate some pizza, did a bit of Vintage shopping and finsished the day with a little ice cream treat.
The streets were alive with vendors and artists galore and I shared quite a bit on my Instagram story. It was such a lovely day and I was in the mood for some modern-vintage 70's style.
I wore this pretty peach one shoulder bodysuit from Tobi and absolutely love the color! It's a delicious shade for Spring and the one shoulder design provides a bit of edge and is complemented by the softness of the flutter sleeve; a pefect mix for my style. I loved how the flutter would move around when the wind blew, it was almost as though it was dancing. This piece will define be on repeat this season!
I styled my bodysuit with my favorite pair of flare jeans and tied a baroque-print scarf to them. Mom actually taught me how to style scarves a few different ways and this has been one of my all time favorites since I was a teen. The colors in the scarf complement my bodysuit well and I tied everything together with a pair of turquoise tassel earrings, a mix of vintage and modern bangles, nude heels, a vintage basket tote and oversized retro-style sunglasses. I was 70s retro-groovy with a modern twist!
Have a great week ahead!
