LITTLE WHITE DRESS

.

You've probably been told you need a LBD (little black dress) in your closet and I'm all for it, but I'm here to let you know you need a LWD (little white dress) as well. Yes you do!

I'm all about bold prints and bright colors but a white dress is also one of my closet staples, especially during the Spring & Summer months. I love how refreshing white is after the dark & cold Winter months. Crisp, bright white provides the perfect backdrop for colorful patterns, tropical prints and bold accessories.

When I locked eyes with this particular dress while teaming up with Tobi, my heart skipped a beat. It's made from a mix of cotton and linen and the retro-inspired tie front is one of my absolute favorite styles. It reminds me of vintage pieces from the 1940's along with its halter  back and midi length. This beautiful white number also carries pockets. I repeat, it has pockets!!!

I styled it with pom pom bracelets (more details to come on those soon), beaded teardrop tassel earrings, wicker bucket purse, gingham ankle strap heels and cat-eye sunglasses in frosted pink for major retro-vibes.

Since we're chatting about white, many of my girlfriends shy away from wearing white because it's prone to stains but trust me if I can rock a white dress and not spill on it, you can too! I'm well known among my family & friends for spilling drinks and food on myself so believe me when I tell you, you can wear a white dress and come away from a bowl of spaghetti spot-free.

The trick is simple, be extra careful and drape yourself in napkins. Yes, ask that waiter for extra napkins and cover yourself. I often look like a 2 year old in a bib but it works for me and if the adult bib doesn't work, stain removal wipes and pens are your best friends.
