PINK POLKADOTS & TEA 💖☕️
Why hello darlings! It's been some time since I've posted but with Summer ending and my family visiting, I decided to take a break from work and the blog to enjoy some downtime.
We're having a lot of fun exploring the city and over the weekend we ventured to Ladurée in SoHo for tea time with my niece. She's was super excited and enjoyed every moment of it and I did as well. We toasted with Chocolat Chaud and it was like drinking melted chocolate . While very delicious, the hot chocolate was a bit rich for me so I couldn't finish it but niecey-poo enjoyed every sip of her's.
I ordered the Le Pain Perdu à la Rose which is a warm French toast with raspberry coulis, fresh raspberries and a rose-flavoured whipped cream. My sisters and niece had a selection of cakes, eclairs and tea.
Their choices were also yummy but I enjoyed the tartness of the raspberries mixed with the sweetness of the toast and cream.
I wanted an ultra-feminine look for tea-time with the niece so I put together this modern-vintage look reminiscent of the 1950s. I immediately thought of Betty Draper from Mad Men and pulled out my vintage pink polka dot dress. My earrings, purse, belt and white gloves are all vintage while my cat-eye sunnies, pearl necklace, brooches and bow heels are modern pieces.
Polka dots will be trending for the Fall/Winter and I've spotted a few pieces in several modern stores already. I have quite a few vintage polka dot pieces in my closet and recently pulled them out to be ironed. I shared a sneak peek in my IG story last weekend so be sure to check me out there for special behind the scenes content.
Now you didn't think I'd leave you in the pink polka dot dark, did you? Scroll all the way to the end of my post to get my curated selection of vintage and modern pieces that will help you re-create this perky 1950's look in no time!

Until next time darlings, kisses!
