TURBANS & TOUCANS - PANAMA VACATION STYLE 💚❤️💛

Summer, summer, summertime! Just a few months ago I was on vacation in Panama basking in the glorious sunlight hoping it would erase all of my Winter blues and as I laid there I couldn't help but hope NYC would warm up soon. We had a long winter but fast forward to today and we're all glowing in the big apple; ready for swimsuit season! For me swim-season usually means it's time to pull out my summer turbans, tassels and tropical printed pieces.

Speaking of tropical prints, let me tell you about my reaction to this swimsuit. I literally screamed (out loud) when I spotted it on ModCloth. It was right before my trip and with just one look at the tropical deliciousness wrapped up in this ultra flattering retro-style suit I knew I had to have it and in the blink of an eye it was at my door. Before this suit arrived I actually shared a peek in my IG stories but wanted to try it on first before recommending. Anywhoo, I wore this amazing swimsuit on my trip but you know I couldn't stop there and had to go all out with my accessories for the ultimate tropical poolside-glam! I usually rock my #TurbansAndTassels whenever I'm on vacation but for this trip I decided to switch things up a bit and swap out my tassel earrings for Toucan earrings. I figured it would be a nice twist on my signature retro-style not to mention these earrings complemented my bikini perfectly. Don't you just love a good theme when dressing? I even went further, yes further, with the tropical bird theme by using my vintage silk scarf as a cover up and finished up the look with colorful tiki bamboo bangles, african printed fabric bangles, a tropical leaf-print turban headband and heart sunnies.
