DIY - EASY FLORAL EMBROIDERED DENIM PURSE
Did you get the memo? It's time to bust out the florals and celebrate the warm weather! Now you're probably wondering why the image looks like Fall, right? Well I rocked this look last Fall but today I want to draw your attention to the purse. It can be worn in any season and guess what??! You can make one for yourself!
Yes! Think of your friend's' reaction when you tell them you DIYed a floral embroidered denim purse. So what are you waiting on? Get your supplies and let's get crafty!
SUPPLIES
For this DIY, you'll need:
- Denim clutch
- Floral embroidered appliques
- Fabric glue
- *Needle & denim/clear thread (optional if you prefer sewing)
- Scissors
STEP 1
Arrange your embroidered applique on your purse to test the layout you'd like to use. Play around with it until you obtain your desired style.
STEP 2
Liberally apply your fabric glue to your applique patch. Be careful not to over-saturate the piece as the glue can seep through to the front of your patch and show a bit. This happened to me in some areas and wasn't a big deal but I wanted to point that out.
STEP 3
Using the tip of your scissors push any undone/protruding edges of the applique under the frame of the purse. Drop a dot of glue to help secure as well.
STEP 4* (OPTIONAL
This step is completely optional but if you prefer to sew you can definitely use needle and thread to secure your applique to your purse. This will take longer but is an alternative that will work just as well.
STEP 5
If you glued your applique, let it sit for 24 hours minimum or per the directions of your glue. Once dry, take it for a spin and enjoy!
