DIY HALLOWEEN COSTUME-1958 ORIGINAL BARBIE
If you follow me on Instagram , you probably saw me rock this costume 2 years ago to a party. I had worn mine the Saturday night and on Monday morning woke up to find Beyoncé with the same exact costume. Now you know I love me some Queen Bey, so I was beyond thrilled.
Anywho, the photos I took were at night and mostly at the party so I’ve always wanted to re-do and take better pictures of my retro Barbie look. As a little girl I’d imagine playing with a life-sized Barbie so here I am, being one!
This one is pretty simple and the only DIY part was creating a “box” that looks just like the original Barbie box. Initially I thought of creating a big box similar to the one Beyoncé had but then I decided to simplify and paste print-outs of the graphics that were from the original box and secure them to a sheet of foam board. I then stapled (using a staple gun) some ribbbon on the backside to work as a handle.
