DIY - BOUDOIR FEATHER SLIPPER CLIPS
Hey darlings! I hope you had a great weekend. Today, I’m sharing another one of my shoe DIY’s thats always super easy to make.
I’ve always admired vintage movie stars in boudoir scenes with cascading nightgowns and boudoir style slippers and so that became the main inspiration behind this tutorial. I have quite a few pairs of vintage-style slippers/mules and wanted to recreate a pair of shoe clips that would give the effect so I ventured to my local craft store to see what I could find.
To my amusement, I found some pretty cool feather hair-clips. At first I thought they would work perfectly as shoe clips but when I clipped them to my heels I noticed the clips had a tendency of leaving indentations and scuffs on my heels so I decided to replce the hair clip part with shoe clips and that worked perfectly. Scroll below to see the full process.
SUPPLIES:
Beging by using your jewelry pliers or even a flat knife to pry the hair clip away from the feather attachment.
Replace the hair clip with a shoe clip, securing with E6000 glue, let dry for 24 hours and you’re all set for a sultry night on the town. Told ya it was easy peasy!
