“When the exciting news dropped that I'd be co-hosting the CDC's Global Health Biennial Conference in Atlanta back in June 2023, my first emotion — after the initial thrill, of course — was full-on fashion panic. My role at the conference was pivotal in setting the tone for CDC’s first major gathering since COVID-19, and I wanted my wardrobe to speak volumes.
