I often hear people complain about Valentine's Day and how it's a gimmick but I enjoy the day. I love celebrating love and not just the romantic kind. I love my man, family and friends! In a perfect world we would "celebrate" love everyday but sometimes spreadsheets and cooking get in the way. For that reason, I appreciate setting aside special time to put in the work, work, work ,work, work (insert Rhianna voice) plus receiving gifts is one of my top love languages. If you live in NYC like me or anywhere cold, Valentine's will remind your frigid heart that the sun and flowers will come out tomorrow.
