RUFFLES & LEATHER
I share a ton of colorful style content but I also love wearing classic black and white combinations, so with the arrival of Fall I thought I’d bring some B+W drama & flair your way!
Last Spring my Aunty Jackie called to let me know she was cleaning out her closet and wanted me to come pick out a few items I liked. Without hesitation I was there and received some beautiful vintage pieces including this over the top ruffle organza blouse. I mean have you ever seen a more beautiful blouse?!
I feel so glamorous wearing this blouse and coincidentally organza and 80s oversized ruffles have been trending recently. Whenever I wear vintage pieces, I love the stories behind them and the fact that this piece is from my Aunt’s personal collection, makes wearing it super special to me.
I can’t wait to show you all the other amazing pieces I got from her! She has an incredible fashion sense as you can tell!
To play up the 80s/90s vibe yet keep my look current and edgy, I styled the blouse with a pair of faux leather (paper bag waist) shorts, white pumps, quilted purse with gold chain strap, gold chunky hoop earrings, retro shades (I picked up earlier this year in Mexico City) and a bold red lip.
