When this dress arrived, I was excited to try it on. I was a bit skeptical about the size because it looked tiny when I pulled it out the bag. Nevertheless, I tried it on and it fit! I adored the mixing of  my favorite banana-leaf print with garden roses and butterflies but then I realized something about the dress that made me second-guess keeping it.

Last Spring my bestie and I came across a beautiful pair of Parrot Heels from Kate Spade and couldn't get them off our minds. As we waited and hoped they would go on sale, I was inspired to DIY a Macaw version of my own.  Yes, you can make these heels yourself!!!

I shared a teaser a few months ago on IG but actually created this DIY about a year ago when I got the patches.  I initially shared it with my family in our group chat and my big sister gave me the great idea to do something additional. I got stuck on the idea and held off from sharing the tutorial while I tried to source additional supplies. I still haven't found the right supplies but with the recent parrot craze popping up in the fashion world, I figured I might as well share the initial DIY with you. This way you can get the look in time for Summer. 

By now you probably get that I kinda, sorta, really love Dolce & Gabbana and while preparing my Lemonade themed Style & The Bar Cart post I noticed DG's Daisy collection.The daisies reminded me of  the 60's and gave me hope for a flower filled Spring/Summer. These little flowers are everywhere and I decided to do a roundup inspired by their pretty white petals and yellow centers.

While traveling back from Cartagena, we stopped in Miami for a couple of nights because there was a terrible snow storm in NYC. I checked the weather for this weekend and it's suppose to snow (insert crying emoji face). I'm not sure if the snow will turn into rain this weekend but it was very cold all week to the point where we had to whip out our puffy coats and boots again. It's April and all I can say is "Winter to be gone!" I'm ready for sunshine, crisp air and fragrant flowers.

It's been three months since my Cartagena vacation but I'm still reminiscing about those beautiful sunny days strolling through the city. I celebrated my birthday on our vacation in Cartagena and took some time to reflect on how much I've grown over the years.  I'm fully "adulting" and sometimes it seems as though I turned 13 a week ago! Time flies and as women it's important to practice self-love as we grow. Today I share what my Mom, femininity and poolside glamour all have in common. Yesterday my bff and I took a stroll into SoHo to visit the first Kate Spade home decor pop-up and it did not disappoint! We squealed as we entered the shop and several ooohs and ahhhs could be heard from the other shoppers.
