Hello darlings, Mildred here! Did you miss me?

If you’re new to the blog, allow me to re-introduce myself! I’m Krystle’s #RetroAlterEgo and ice cream companion! I am to Krystle as Sasha Fierce is to Beyoncé. I pop into town quite often to visit and whenever she takes a trip I’m sure to accompany her to get some sweet treat! It’s a tradition of ours to get ice cream every time we go on vacation and her recent trip to Panama was no exception. 

I can’t believe the 4th of July came already! I meant to share this look in time for the holiday with a twit of using green, white and blue but got really busy with decorating my most recent wedding project, meetings and spending time with the family so I decided I'd just share today. You've probably been told you need a LBD (little black dress) in your closet and I'm all for it, but I'm here to let you know you need a LWD (little white dress) as well. Yes you do!

I'm all about bold prints and bright colors but a white dress is also one of my closet staples, especially during the Spring & Summer months. I love how refreshing white is after the dark & cold Winter months. Crisp, bright white provides the perfect backdrop for colorful patterns, tropical prints and bold accessories.

NYC came alive this weekend with soaring high temperatures and I couldn't resist being outside with all the other folks soaking up the glorious Spring sunshine. I ditched my Saturday chores and ventured to Brooklyn for an afternoon stroll. I stopped to smell the deli flowers along the way (NYC style), ate some pizza, did a bit of Vintage shopping and finsished the day with a little ice cream treat.

The streets were alive with vendors and artists galore and I shared quite a bit on my Instagram story. It was such a lovely day and I was in the mood for some modern-vintage 70's style.

It's going up to 80 degrees today in NYC and feels like we've skipped Spring and jumped right to Summer! I'm not complaining because I love the warm weather and any excuse to leave my coat where it belongs; in the closet! I plan on soaking up some sunshine today and if you're anywhere warm & sunny, I hope you do too.

It's the perfect day to step out and have a scoop or two or three because what's an 80 degree day without sweet treats?
