ONE OLIVE OR TWO ? 🍸

Are you an olive person? No, I’m not referring to the Martini garnish and though I read somewhere that two olives are bad luck; in fashion, that’s never the case! I can’t get enough of this color this season.

A sleeveless turtleneck is one of my favorite cool-weather styles and I had to have this little number I found about a month ago in Zara. To layer a bit and help stay warm, I layered with a tropical vintage robe. Who says you can’t wear tropical prints in the Fall? I love the brown/orange hues and toucans craftily placed in the print.

My strappy v-vamp heels are the perfect olive hue and I simply couldn’t resist. They’re super comfy too and will work as a neutral shoe in my opinion.

My Maasai beaded bangles are from my shop and the ball drop earrings are from my Mom’s personal collection. She wore these back in the 1980s, aren’t they stunning?

My bamboo purse (if you remember, became the “it bag” a few years ago) is another piece from my Mom’s personal vintage collection as well.

As a child I saw my Mom storing letters and documents in this bag and was always fascinated by it’s architectural-like construction. For a couple of years I had my sisters search our home in Guyana for the purse, but they could never find it. We had given up and thought maybe wood-ants had it for dinner but fortunately, my big sister found the purse and surprised me on one of her trips to NYC. I just love the fact that my Mom had one of fashion’s most coveted bags, decades before it came on the scene and now it’s part of my collection.

As always, scroll to the end for a roundup of vintage and modern pieces so you can get the look!
