MANICURE SECRETS

Okay, I don’t talk much about my long nail manicures because it’s not something I’m consistent with and that’s because a girl does a lot of computer work (now I’m singing computer love) as well as accessory making for my shop Lillian & Joan and frankly super long nails makes both activities challenging by slowing me down. I guess I haven’t mastered the art yet but that doesn’t mean I don’t want the glitz and glam of a freshly done mani so what’s a girl to do?

SALON MANICURE

SALON MANICURE

Well, I sometimes do extensions at the nail salon especially if I’m going on vacation but honestly every time I do them my real nails end up damaged and that’s no good.

I used to do press ons as a teen with crazy glue (judge ya self lol) because who are we kidding, those tiny bottles of nail glue that come in the package don’t hold up well, however as a full grown adult (sometimes) I was not about to use crazy glue and risk sticking my fingers together. So what was a woman to do?

STATIC NAILS

STATIC NAILS

Enter Static Nails! Now, this isn’t a sponsored post, just me sharing my opinion about how much I like the product line so far!

The nails and glue were my first purchase about a year or so ago and let me tell you both are superb, especially the nail glue. Listen y’all, I’ve never used a glue like it before, not even crazy glue!

I believe the formula was invented by the company and I don’t know what kind of sorcery was involved in the making but this glue secures nails like no other and then allows you to pop off the nails at any given time with ease and no damage to your own nails. In my opinion that’s a win.

STATIC NAILS

I’ve never put on false nails and felt so confident in the fact that I won’t have an incident, you know the kind where you go to open a can of soft drink and your nail pops off. The only thing I haven’t really tested is the length of time the nails stay on by themselves. I’ve worn my manicure for a few days but always pop them off because hashtag work.

I also use press on nails that aren’t made by Static but always, always use their glue. They sell the glue in a bottle with a brush and it’s my favorite way to apply. I honestly don’t use the little tubes in the nail pack. Just brush it on like nail polish, stick nails and you’re set to go!

Recently, I also bought a few more products from them including their primer, polish & polish remover. I’m testing the polish out now & enjoying so far. The remover is my new favorite. It’s scentless, non-toxic & non-drying. It takes a little while to remove existing polish but is so moisturizing and acts almost like a cuticle oil. Personally, I have never used a polish remove like this so I’m thoroughly impressed, not to mention the bottle with dropper is attractive.

So there you have it boys and girls, my manicure secrets revealed.
