CONNECTICUT TOWNHOUSE - MASTER BEDROOM MAKEOVER

Today we’re finally heading up to the 3rd floor to wrap this project with the Master Bedroom/Bath makeover.

When I initially took on this project, painting walls was not part of the plan. The couple wanted to keep the walls as is, but with a little convincing they agreed upon this green accent wall that helped to elevate the room and bring character to an oddly shaped wall. The goal was to trick the eye to focus away from the slanted ceiling.

I also custom dyed curtains to play off the wall design but wanted it to have more of an organic dip-dyed effect vs. the sharp straight line. To achieve the custom green color, I mixed a couple of green-based dyes to get as close to the wall paint color.

The bathroom was done in a simple way to evoke tranquility and though the room isn’t 100% complete I didn’t want to hold off from sharing.

There will be a new bed, linens and more art that will be sourced from the owner’s home country, so once that’s added I’ll come back and provide an update.
