When BuzzFeed reached out to me to participate in a Frida-inspired style post I was beyond elated! I've admired Frida and her work for a very log time and even created a DIY Frida costume last Halloween as a way to honor her legacy. The BuzzFeed post was right up my alley and today I'm happy to share more of my look with you.

I've had this post in draft since August of last year and have only used one of the images for my FashionBomb Daily feature. Today, I'm posting a flashback from last Summer and this one was inspired by Sade. I'm also giving some insight into why I chose this song to be the title of my post. 

I celebrated my birthday on our vacation in Cartagena and took some time to reflect on how much I've grown over the years.  I'm fully "adulting" and sometimes it seems as though I turned 13 a week ago! Time flies and as women it's important to practice self-love as we grow. Today I share what my Mom, femininity and poolside glamour all have in common. I decided to do a last minute costume DIY and chose Frida Kahlo as my subject. I had everything for this DIY in my wardrobe so it was a simple one to put together. I'll walk you through the how to below.
