Two weeks ago, Stef whisked me away to Aruba to celebrate my 30th birthday, tropical-style! Yes, #KrystlesVintageThirty was in January but we're celebrating all year long (Beyonce diva-style) and it was time for #KrystlesTropicalThirty! 

If you can't tell by now, I LOVE Flamingos! F to the L to the A to the... okay we might be here for a while if I continue. Seriously guys these beautiful pink birds have a special place in my heart, yet I'd never seen them in person until now!

It's been about two weeks since my trip to Aruba and I'm currently sitting in the restaurant of a super cold Upstate NY hotel writing this post and day-dreaming of sunshine, beaches and flamingos! I met my darling pink babies in person for the first time but before I start gushing about them (I'll do that in a separate post) let's stay on track with the happy island.

While traveling back from Cartagena, we stopped in Miami for a couple of nights because there was a terrible snow storm in NYC. I checked the weather for this weekend and it's suppose to snow (insert crying emoji face). I'm not sure if the snow will turn into rain this weekend but it was very cold all week to the point where we had to whip out our puffy coats and boots again. It's April and all I can say is "Winter to be gone!" I'm ready for sunshine, crisp air and fragrant flowers.

It's been three months since my Cartagena vacation but I'm still reminiscing about those beautiful sunny days strolling through the city. While on our vacation in Cartagena, we took a day trip to the beautiful Islas del Rosario. The boat ride to the islands was about 35 mins and we even saw Dolphins out in the water. When we arrived to the islands, the view was breath-taking and I had to take a moment to thank God for creating such beauty. Today I'm sharing photos from our trip to the islands along with a red retro-inspired swimsuit I'm obsessed with!
