While traveling back from Cartagena, we stopped in Miami for a couple of nights because there was a terrible snow storm in NYC. I checked the weather for this weekend and it's suppose to snow (insert crying emoji face). I'm not sure if the snow will turn into rain this weekend but it was very cold all week to the point where we had to whip out our puffy coats and boots again. It's April and all I can say is "Winter to be gone!" I'm ready for sunshine, crisp air and fragrant flowers.

It's been three months since my Cartagena vacation but I'm still reminiscing about those beautiful sunny days strolling through the city. While on our vacation in Cartagena, we took a day trip to the beautiful Islas del Rosario. The boat ride to the islands was about 35 mins and we even saw Dolphins out in the water. When we arrived to the islands, the view was breath-taking and I had to take a moment to thank God for creating such beauty. Everyone and their grandmother knows how much I love Queen Bey! I have a great appreciation for Beyonce's work ethic, music and style.  I've followed her since I was a teenager and one of my most memorable moments was watching the Baby Boy (featuring Sean Paul) video. I loved her outfits, hairstyles, dance moves and that beat was everything! 

I celebrated my birthday on our vacation in Cartagena and took some time to reflect on how much I've grown over the years.  I'm fully "adulting" and sometimes it seems as though I turned 13 a week ago! Time flies and as women it's important to practice self-love as we grow. Today I share what my Mom, femininity and poolside glamour all have in common. Valentine's Day is this Sunday and 'A Sunday Kind Of Love' has been stuck in my head all week long. I love Etta James' music and think this song is perfect for our upcoming day celebrating love.  Etta's music spanned several genres including blues, soul, rock and roll, jazz and gospel and she had a way of making it her own.
